Marketing Executive Job Description             

Job Title: Marketing Executive

Reports to: Head of Marketing

Overview: 

WISE is a not for profit, community interest company whose purpose is gender balance across the UK STEM industry. WISE is a membership organisation which generates its own income through B2B products and services to an increasing number of members and commercial clients.

We are looking for a Marketing Executive to work within our marketing team to support promotions and campaigns for our busy events calendar, and other D&I initiatives.

Terms: 

Immediate start preferred

Salary:  £24,000 to £27,000

5% pension contribution for eligible employees

London weighting of £2,500 where applicable

 Location: 

Place of work will be home-based, with the flexibility to attend meetings and events off-site as required. Home-based workers need to ensure they have a reasonable space in which to work with adequate security and privacy, with an internet connection capable of supporting work systems.

Hours: 

The post is full-time at 37 hours

Part-time working of no less than 30 hours will be considered 

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday office hours with flexible working patterns

 A flexible approach to working to support a work-life balance

25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays

Additional 3 days off during the Christmas closure

Employee Assistance Programme – including a 24/7 confidential help line and counselling sessions

Company pension with employers contribution up to 5% when you contribute 5%

Personal development allowance per year

The role will be subject to a 6-month probationary period          

Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive multi-channel communication plans in line with business objectives and marketing strategy.
  • Execute and support creating valuable  with the aim of supporting our WISE events calendar.
  • Repurpose content for different audiences and channels.
  • Support with the creation of content to drive leads and subscribers (this will include D&I calendar, blog posts, ebooks, , videos, infographics, presentations, website updates and social media).
  • Measure the results of content activity to inform future marketing campaigns.
  • Research and implement content recommendations to support with SEO
  • Provide support and assistance within the marketing team with execution of a variety of projects & campaigns
  • Maintain social media pages by creating & posting updates, responding to comments and messages, working closely with the Marketing Communications Lead
  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to support the functionality and coordination of department activities
  • Complete administrative updates on our website as required
  • Measure and report on all digital channels/ campaigns
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks as required to support the wider business

The person

Successful track record in:

  • Successful track record in a marketing or communications environment.
  • Experience of working on multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • A self-starter, able to use their initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  • Positive, can-do attitude and confident personality.
  • An interest in developing ideas and new skills.

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Marketing Executive or similar.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and WordPress.
  • Proficiency in Adobe or Canva
  • Possess excellent content writing skills and be able to adapt to our tone of voice.
  • Understanding of web publishing requirements.
  • An understanding of SEO.
  • Project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Educated in Marketing preferred but not essential
