REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing and Business Development
COMPENSATION: $85,000-$90,000
SUMMARY
Pacific Park is seeking an Event Sales Manager that thrives in a team environment and consistently provides great customer service. The Event Sales Manager will be an integral part of a small team that is responsible for internal and external communications as well as the execution of special events and film shoots. The ideal candidate has experience in a client-facing role project managing multiple events at the same time, exhibits an understanding of production, and has an eagerness to learn in a dynamic and exciting environment.
Be a team player responsible for managing event requests and inquiries, collaborate on the Park’s marketing and sales initiatives, and work with clients from different backgrounds and industries to make the best decision about their event at the pier. Lead sales efforts to reach park sales goals, promotions, special events and sponsorships.
Experience in a brand or agency setting with hands-on understanding of experiential activations, special events, and production is a plus. This position supports many marketing functions including internal events, creative writing, and representing the company at meetings and conferences.

Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier is LA's only admission free amusement park. We have rides, midway games, an oceanfront food plaza and a variety of retail experiences. The Park and Pier have more than 8 million visitors annually and we handle those crowds with 500+ full-time and seasonal positions that make up our highly diverse, dynamic and passionate team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales
Reach and exceed sales revenue quota for event rentals, group sales, sponsorships, and promotions business
Develop standard programs, pricing, procedures, and sales materials
Create proposals, pricing, and programs
Work as part of a team to negotiate all partner contracts.
Plan and execute special events, sponsorships, sampling and promotional programs for clients within the Park
Create and utilize support materials, guidelines, and operational procedures
Oversee online bookings software and oversee online group bookings and the Park's master calendar
Process all related financial records for all booked business and maintain detailed records of all pending and booked business
REQUIREMENTS
Education: College degree in a related field (Business, Communications, Hospitality).
Experience: Five years of professional experience in a brand or agency setting, in a client or customer-facing role. Additional experience with customer service, communications or service-related experience is a plus.
Skills: Results oriented self-starter, strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, communicator (written and verbal), flexibility to work early in the morning, nights or weekends as the job requires. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel) required. Experience with Adobe design software, PowerPoint, Asana, Google Sheets a plus.
LOCATION AND WORK ENVIORMENT:
This position is located on the Santa Monica Pier.
Year-round weekend and holiday work is required
This is a full-time position and not available for remote or work from home
