The Sr. Brand Manager will lead the strategic oversight of 1A Auto Brands - developing brand strategies, promoting brand growth and expansion, implementing brand plans, and using a variety of data to drive volume and profitability. The Sr. Brand Manager understands the overarching mission of the brand and will leverage analytics, insights, and trends to capture key opportunities and will be focused on achieving brand business objectives in the short and long term. The Sr. Brand Manager will demonstrate deep knowledge about market research, analytics, and consumer behavior, have strong research skills and will work well in cross-functional environments.

This role will work cross-functionally and across multiple departments to ensure we are driving loyalty, growth, and profitability and is expected to seamlessly shift back-and-forth between thinking strategically about our business and rolling up their sleeves.

General Responsibilities

  • Oversee all internal and external private label brand marketing and communication activities to ensure consistent brand voice and message through all customer touch points.
  • Develop/collaborate all aspects of the brands including strategy, naming, logo development, brand positioning, brand voice, package design and brand guide development. 
  • Conceptualize, design, layout and produce digital and print designs, point of sale displays, and promotional material. Develop graphics and layouts for logos, websites, and products.
  • Comply with brand standards and maintain consistency and individuality for each brand. Manage online reputation, including ratings and reviews on third party sites and website product reviews.
  • Execute global marketing communication strategy for brands across multiple sites, video, social media, and print.
  • Develop strategies that ensure each brand gets credit for what differentiates it amongst the competition and effectively communicates that uniqueness.
  • Act as the brand champion internally and develop strategies to create loyalty within the 1A team by building brand ambassadors and a powerful word of mouth campaign.
  • Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues.
  • Work closely and collaborate with product development and other departments to develop strategies to build brand equity.
  • Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies.
  • Brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.
  • Be able to handle changing priorities with ease.
  • Identify research needs, execute research studies and projects, and analyze research to identify opportunities.
  • Stay current on market trends and competitive activity.
  • Establish and maintain brand budgets.
  • Define and manage the brand communication strategy using a variety of media.
  • Own the development and messaging of the brand narrative.
  • Create, execute, and manage marketing programs and campaigns.

Brand Manager Requirements

  • Data-driven, self-starter with demonstrated experience navigating through ambiguity in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Possess a love for brand management and with an entrepreneurial mindset, be passionate about growing our Brand as if it were your own.
  • Proficient in using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.) and other programs.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver.
  • Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations.  
  • Possess strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker able to identify long-term opportunities and trends.
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration with other key departments.
  • Highly creative with ability to think outside the box.
  • Proven track record in the ecommerce space
  • Auto parts industry experience a plus.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field, MBA preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in brand marketing and marketing.
  • 5+ years in packaged goods, or retail private label function. Auto Parts a plus.
