We’re looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to join our newly formed sales and marketing team. In this role, you will develop and execute integrated digital campaigns to increase brand awareness, generate qualified leads and boost sales for ZERO TO THREE’s early childhood professional development products and services, including training, membership, annual conference, virtual events, and bookstore. You will manage and implement digital tools for content marketing, digital advertising, SEO/SEM, web content management, email, and social media. You will also support the design of a new ecommerce website and digital experience that showcases our products and services to targeted segments of the early childhood field. The ideal candidate has a mind that is equal parts creative and analytical. You have deep knowledge of marketing technology and thrive when working with cross-functional stakeholders to build digital programs that drive business results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead development and end-to-end management of digital marketing campaigns
  • Support launch of new ecommerce website; Responsible for day-to-day content updates and website maintenance and performance, with a focus on optimizing SEO/SEM and user experience
  • Plan and implement website content marketing strategy, including creation of product landing pages, lead generation forms and other conversion opportunities such as pop-ups, banner ads, homepage features, etc.
  • Create and execute dynamic, data-driven, segmented email campaigns including drip marketing campaigns, membership retention/reactivation campaigns, event recruitment campaigns, lifecycle emails, and engaging welcome series
  • Lead day-to-day implementation of email marketing strategy, including list management, build, QA, deployment, automation and reporting to nurture list growth and engagement
  • Develop paid digital advertising and retargeting campaigns, including the creation of ads creative and copy, audience groups, and customized landing pages
  • Collaborate closely with the Communications team to coordinate design and implementation of digital marketing campaigns across email, web, and
  • Serve as primary point of contact for related vendors and agencies as needed
  • Proactively stay abreast of digital marketing trends and news to inform future growth strategies and opportunities

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 6+ years digital marketing experience with proven track record managing engaging digital marketing campaigns with measurable results
  • Deep experience with marketing automation, email marketing, a robust CRM or marketing automation software such as Salesforce or HubSpot
  • Content creation and publications experience (digital, video and/or print)
  • Proficiency with Google marketing products including AdWords, Analytics and Search Console
  • Exceptional analytical skills with experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Strong project management skills, with a keen eye for detail 
  • Knowledge of HTML and/or CSS
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-directing and agile, with the ability to quickly pivot strategies, as needed
  • Passionate, creative thinker with
  • Team player with superb communication and interpersonal skills
  • Spanish fluency a plus

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.)  in marketing, communications, digital marketing, advertising or related field.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is frequently required to use finger dexterity as well as sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. Also may need to remain seated for long periods of time, have the ability to perform repetitive motions, and hear well enough to detect nuances and receive detailed information.  The employee may be required to walk, grasp objects, push or pull objects, bend, squat, reach, stand, or kneel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for preparing and analyzing data. 

Working Conditions

The work conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing this job. Depending on work location, the incumbent will typically work indoors in a heated and air-conditioned office, with a mixture of natural, incandescent and fluorescent light with low to moderate noise levels or be subject to working conditions conducive to a home office. When travel is expected, the incumbent will be exposed to outside environmental conditions during those times.
