JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in executing marketing initiatives to enhance
the university’s brand, attract prospective students, and engage current students, alumni,
and the broader community. This position supports both digital and traditional marketing
efforts and collaborates with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and
branding across all channels. The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Associate Vice
President of Marketing/ Chief Marketing Officer.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Webmaster / Analytics / Advertising: Assist with website management,
copywriting, analytics reporting, ad design support, email marketing, and the
creation and management of website landing pages. - Marketing Campaigns: Support the execution of multi-channel marketing
campaigns—including digital, print, social media, and email—to promote university
programs, initiatives, and events. - Content Creation: Capture and develop content for websites, newsletters, social
media, email campaigns, and promotional materials. - Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and publish posts across all university
social media platforms. Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages,
and interact with other relevant pages to increase visibility, community presence, and engagement. - Video Production: Shoot, edit, and prepare short-form videos and reels for
marketing campaigns, social media, and website use. - Email Marketing: Prepare, refine, and schedule email campaigns, newsletters, and
automated communication flows using university-approved email marketing
platforms. - Event Coordination: Support the planning, promotion, and on-site execution of
university events, including open houses, student recruitment activities, and
faculty/staff events.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIRED
- 1–3 years of marketing experience, preferably in higher education or a related
sector. - Excellent proficiency in Canva (required).
- Proficiency in video editing (required).
- Demonstrated experience with social media content creation, scheduling, and
community engagement. - Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or
similar). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent proficiency in managing social media platforms and content development.
- Strong understanding of Branding and Communications.
- Basic graphic design skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong creativity, attention to detail, and desire to innovate.
- Portfolio, cover letter, and resume required for consideration. Three letters of
recommendation preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- The physical demands listed are representative of those that must be met by an employee
to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand,
walk, sit; use hands for clerical duties and keyboarding. - The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop and
kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and
occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and
ability to adjust focus. - Acute hearing is necessary for telephone and in-person communication with callers
and assisting students, and visual acuity sufficient to read a computer screen and
paper documents.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and internal equity. Benefits include a
